Custom Flag
Manufacturing.
We manufacture flags and banners at our facility located in Queensland, Australia. Our products are built to meet the high standards required for flight under the stresses of skydiving or helicopter operation. Our manufacturing process is rigorous and has received approval from the Civil Aviation Authority, ensuring our flags are safe for use in the operating environment. Rod Beson is Australia's 'Flag Expert'.

We utilize specialized materials such as Kevlar, which is both strong and lightweight, and employ various techniques in our construction process such as screen printing, sign writing, and sewing the image onto the flag with new materials.

Upon receiving an order and the artwork, we determine the building technique, source the necessary materials, build the base flag, process the image onto it, manufacture any necessary containers, and conduct test jumps or tows to ensure the safety and reliability of the flag.

The time it takes to complete a job ranges from two to six weeks starting from the receipt of the artwork and Purchase Order. The lead time may vary depending on the job's nature, urgency, manufacturing technique, and other factors. We ship our flags and banners worldwide.

Helicopter Towed
Flags
Looking to make a big impact with your advertising or display? Our helicopter towing service may be just what you need. We specialize in building large flags and banners that can be easily read from up to 15 kilometers away, with most measuring around 1,000 square meters. Our experienced air crews use special helicopters to conduct the flights, carefully planning the route to take advantage of crowds, events, and natural pathways around the target city or venue.

During the flight, the flag or banner is secured to the bottom of the aircraft and has a large weight at the base of its leading edge to keep it flying straight and easily readable in the air. The flight path is planned well in advance, with timings finalized at least a week beforehand to ensure we can work with civil authorities and obtain any necessary permissions.

Our flights typically travel at 20 knots and can spend anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours in the air, depending on your needs. With the flag visible to huge audiences, our helicopter towing service can have a bigger impact than a commercial television advertisement. We can repeat the process until your objectives are reached, whether that involves a series of flights in multiple cities or a single flight over a specific event.
Of course, safety is always our top priority. Our flag expert, Rod Benson follows strict limitations to ensure the flag never flies over the top of a crowd. By carefully planning our flight path along natural waterways or ocean lines, we can maintain safety without compromising on impact. So if you're looking to make a statement with your advertising or display, contact us to see how our helicopter towing service can help you achieve your goals.

30+ YEARS OF DISPLAYS

Rod Benson and his father began working on display jumps and using flags to promote corporate clients, starting with a Coca-Cola flag after the famous Coke TV ad of 1991 which also launched the skysurfing trend.
The project quickly grew as they tested the limits of how large they could make the flags. "We'd seen something in one
of the US magazines and it was a
real tiny flag," explains Rod.
"We wondered how big we could go with this,
and that's when we decided to trial (and error)
a lot of flags." Their hard work paid off on
Australia Day 1992, when they unveiled
a 4,200ft flag at Sydney's Eastern Creek raceway,
which became the largest flag ever flown
at the time. Their impressive feat earned them
the flying award at that year's Avalon Airshow,
as no one had ever seen a flag of that size before.
